Building ZenMat: A Yoga Studio Management & Practice Platform

TechZunction Team30 March 20269 min read

The global yoga market has 300 million+ practitioners growing at 10% YoY, yet the industry's digital infrastructure is fragmented. Studios rely on outdated scheduling tools that charge high fees and offer clunky UX. Practitioners juggle separate apps for studio booking, meditation, and on-demand classes. ZenMat was built to unify the entire yoga experience — studio marketplace, class booking, meditation, workshops, and studio management in one platform.

The practitioner side features studio discovery with interactive map and style filters (Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Yin, Hot Yoga, Restorative, Prenatal, Meditation), class booking with in-person/virtual/hybrid indicators, a guided meditation library with categories (Mindfulness, Sleep, Body Scan, Compassion, Focus, Energy), and workshops covering arm balances, yoga nidra, ayurveda, and sound healing with instructor profiles and registration.

The Studio Admin Dashboard provides $48.2K monthly revenue, 820 active members, 74% class fill rate, and 4.2% churn rate at a glance. Revenue breakdown shows memberships (66%), drop-ins, workshops, private sessions, and merchandise. Top performing classes and instructor performance metrics complete the picture. Built with Next.js 16, React 19, Tailwind CSS 4, and shadcn/ui with a calming green-and-white design. Deployed on Vercel with 90+ Lighthouse scores.
