Glamour Waves is one of Gwalior's most popular unisex salons — but until recently, their entire digital presence was a Google Maps pin. No website, no online booking, no service menu visible to prospective customers. All appointments happened over phone calls, which meant missed bookings outside business hours and zero way for new customers to evaluate the salon before walking in. Meanwhile, competing salons with polished websites appeared more professional and trustworthy, even if their actual service quality was lower.
We designed Velvet with a dark-and-gold design language that immediately communicates premium quality. The homepage opens with a full-screen hero showcasing the salon interior, dual CTAs (Book Appointment and Explore Services), platform stats (5,000+ happy customers), and a location section with embedded Google Maps and business hours. The About page tells the Glamour Waves story through rich photography and a milestone timeline (2016 founding → 2022 advanced treatments → 2024 serving 5,000+ customers), ending with a 'Your transformation starts here' CTA section.
The Services page is where transparency builds trust. Every service is listed with name, duration, price, and gender tag (Women/Men) — organized by category (Hair, Skin, Makeup, Grooming, Bridal) with filter tabs. No more phone calls asking 'how much for a keratin treatment?' The Gallery showcases the salon's best work with filterable categories (All, Hair, Makeup, Skin Care, Our Salon) so prospective customers see real results. The Booking page provides a clean appointment form — name, phone, preferred date and time, service selection, and special notes — with a WhatsApp fallback link for customers who prefer instant messaging. The Contact page shows the complete address, phone, email, business hours for every day of the week, social links, a contact form, and an embedded Google Map. Built with Next.js 16, React 19, Tailwind CSS 4, Framer Motion for smooth animations, and Zustand for state management. Deployed on Vercel with 90+ Lighthouse scores and local SEO optimization for Gwalior-based searches.
