India's event industry is massive — weddings alone are a INR 10 lakh crore market — yet the experience of planning an event remains shockingly analog. Clients juggle WhatsApp conversations with dozens of vendors, compare prices through word-of-mouth, and have zero visibility into who is reliable or available. Event planners rely on Instagram and referrals for client acquisition, manage operations across spreadsheets, WhatsApp groups, Trello boards, and Canva proposals. No single platform connects clients, planners, vendors, and venues through the full event lifecycle. EventCraft was built to change that.
The client-facing marketplace features planner discovery with filters for event type (wedding, corporate, birthday, conference, exhibition, concert, social gathering, cultural celebration), budget range, city, style preference, and rating. Each planner profile showcases their portfolio with past event galleries, badges (Top Rated, Verified Elite), experience metrics, service areas, and transparent pricing ranges. The vendor marketplace aggregates 12,000+ verified vendors across 12 categories — venue, catering, photography & video, decoration, entertainment, makeup & styling, invitations, transport, accommodation, gifts & favors, pandit/clergy, and AV & technical. Premium venues get dedicated profiles with capacity details, amenities, location maps, and virtual tour previews.
The inspiration gallery is where clients go from 'I don't know what I want' to 'this is exactly my vision.' Thousands of real event photos are browsable by category (decor, venues, outfits, flowers, table settings, lighting, themes, food) and style (royal, minimalist, rustic, bohemian, vintage, modern, tropical, traditional). Clients can pin favorites to create mood boards they share with planners — turning vague ideas into actionable briefs. Event packages offer curated bundles for common event types, so price-conscious clients can get started without the complexity of vendor-by-vendor sourcing.
The planner dashboard is where EventCraft replaces five separate tools. The Overview shows real-time KPIs — active events, task completion progress, pending payments, and guest RSVP status. My Events presents all events as visual cards with status badges (In Planning, Approved, Consultation), dates, locations, guest counts, and budgets. The Payments screen tracks every vendor payment with milestone-based settlements — booking advance, mid-payment, pre-event, and final settlement — with status indicators and total committed amounts. Notifications aggregate everything: payment reminders, new RSVP responses, task completions, and proposals received. Analytics provides spending trends, budget allocation breakdowns (venue 33%, catering 22%, decoration 18%), event status overview, and top booked vendors with ratings.
Built with Next.js 16, React 19, Tailwind CSS 4, and Lucide Icons, EventCraft delivers 25+ pages with a clean, professional design language anchored by a distinctive purple accent that conveys trust and creativity. The responsive mobile experience is critical — clients browse planners and vendors on their phones during lunch breaks, and planners check dashboards on-site at events. We extracted the best screenshots by analysing every second of the walkthrough videos, selecting frames that capture each distinct page at its most informative state. Deployed on Vercel with 90+ Lighthouse scores across all four categories.
